Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala says: “Whoever recommends and helps a good cause becomes a partner therein, and whoever recommends and helps an evil cause shares in its burdens” ( Qur’an:4:85) Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhi wa Sallam is reported to have said: “Whoever initiates a good practice (sunnah hasanah) in Islam and is emulated by others in doing so will get the reward of it and the reward of all those who act upon it without their rewards being diminished in any respect.
