Allow God to speak the future you through his Son Christ Luke 5:8; 10b When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” Jesus once said, “I am the vine and you are the branches without me you cannot do nothing.” And as humanity when we come across something unfamiliar to our nature we tend to resent it like a wild animal being taken away from its ordinary environment and introduced to another like a zoo. That was the case with Simon whom now is known as Peter in the Christian realm. As a fisherman he was used to fishing in a particular style and it came a time that did not work anymore and by divine timing God brought his Son Christ and his life took another turn whereby he became a fisher of men not a fisherman anymore. It takes divine authority to unleash the true you and that authority is Jesus Christ the hope of glory, maybe right now you might be stuck in one realm of life like Simon mentioned in today’s scripture but if you can lend Jesus your boat like Simon to bless others in due time he will make you a blessing to others because all power in heaven and earth belongs to him. Not only will he make you a blessing but he will give you a divine identity that will bring others to the same light you walk in when he changes you from Simon to Peter because our destinies are attached to the names God grant us through his Word. Take Jacob for instance his name meant deceiver but when he wrestled with the Angel of the Lord his name changed from deceiver to prince with God which is Israel. At some point in life we all reach a point by our own efforts and will things just do not work but when Jesus steps in the picture we not only receive the power to be blessed and become a blessing to other but we receive a new identity in him that will make us carriers of God’s glory to the nations so that others may be given a right like us to become the children of God through the gospel.Like Gideon there is a great man of valor waiting to be released just let the Angel of the Lord like Jacob give you a metamorphosis from your past into your future. Then you will spread your wings like a butterfly and go from glory to glory, faith to faith and strength to strength not by might or power but by my Spirit said the Lord of hosts and yes your beginning might be small like Simon but your latter end will increase abundantly like Peter who became the rock in whom God build his church and through his ministry God did unusual miracles like healing the sick with his shadow and bringing thousands to the kingdom of God just by preaching. He who has ears let him hear says the Spirit of the Most Highest God.
