Allow the Next Gen to take over.... Todays morning program in Jaya TV featured the veteran Shri Sheshagopalan, the vocalist with abundant talent and command over layam. A great fan of his, I felt very sad to see him exposed and miserably struggling right through his rendition. It is time these veteran musicians, and more importantly, the organisers realise this fact and make use of their immense talent and knowledge to nurture young budding musicians of the next Gen and make way for the youngsters rather than persisting with these veterans to perform in front of the audience and tarnish their image and reputation built over the years in the eyes of the rasikas.
