Allright yall its Shell... Just finished up with the doc and have lots of info but also alot of unknown. Basically the dr thinks bubby(Copper) has a platelet disorder and his body is attacking itself (platelets & red blood cells) Any sudden movement or jerk is causing him to bleed more internally and he is not forming clots as he should. They were unable to draw blood or give intrevenal fluids, due to a high risk of him bleeding out and passing over night. So, we are on our way home after having a hard time trying to find an open pharmacy and correct meds needed tonight. We are hoping he responds to the meds and shows improvements in the next 24 hours. It is just a very risky and rare case. The other possibilities but wont know for sure is he may have injested some type of poison this weekend or lime disease but the doctor feels confident without the bloodwork not being able to be drawn. That it is the platelet disorder. Kelly is taking the news from the doc as positive as she can but is in a state of shock. So, I`m asking you to take. This info given and not ask any questions. That may upset her more. Lets show her and bubby all the love we can, prayers and send good vibes their way. This has really taken a tole on her and family considering he is her son she never had. Thank you guys in advance and please show her respect in the next few days being a waiting period. On a positive note he has ate a little on the way home, drank some fluids and took his meds with little whining :-) Thank you all for your concerns and prayers! Michele Ard
