Almost a year ago I found my home within Sigma Sigma Sigma and I could not be happier. The past year brought on a lot of tough times that seemed almost impossible to make it through, but no matter what I had 50+ girls that were there to support me, love me and teach me. A year ago I accepted my bid and I havent looked back since. Within the sisterhood of Tri Sigma I met my best friend, Leah Anne Larson, my Big, Elizabeth Merrill, and my honorary Big, Phylicia Leigh who inspire me to be the best version of myself that I can possibly be and also help me through some of the toughest of times Ive ever had. A huge special thanks to them. All 50+ of my sisters have impacted my life in some way and Im forever thankful for them. Explaining sorority and greek life to outsiders you get a lot of You pay for your friends, or Youre just all the same. From the outside looking in youll never understand it, but from inside looking out, youll never be able to explain it. Ever since I accepted my bid, Ive started living my life for myself and doing things to make me happy, living life with no regrets, Tri Sigma being one of the things in my life that Ive never once regretted. Sigma Sigma Sigma has made me develop qualities in myself that I never thought I would possess. Sigma Sigma Sigma has made me develop confidence in myself because I have sisters that love me for exactly who I am, all the quirks and flaws and weird qualities. To the girls that accepted their bid yesterday, Im so incredibly happy to have you apart of this amazing, wonderful, life changing sisterhood. The journey now starts and you wont regret one minute of it because it honestly will be the best decision you will make in your college years. And to the sisters that have had my back and have been my shoulder to cry on the past year, thank you for literally everything because life is tough sometimes, but its so much easier when you have people there to help you through it.
