Aloha Dalire was my last Kumu Hula and her passing saddens me. Hula has a tremendous loss by her passing. Kumu, you have made a huge impact in my life and taught me most of what I know about hula. It was such an honor that you chose me along with your Alakai, the late Scott Leong and gave me the honor to represent your halau as male soloist back in 1999 where we triumphed and took 1st place at both the Ia Oe E Ka La Hula Competition and at the World Invitational Hula Competition. It was an experience that I will always hold dear. My love, respect, and deepest ALOHA goes out to you and your ohana. You will always have a place in my heart and will always be remembered. O wau no me ka haa haa! A hui hou a me ke aloha pau ole!
