That question was this: Our greatest concern here is our sacred Mauna and its sacredness across ethnicities and in the larger picture of the entire world. Please help us stand for its place and distinction in Hawaiian religious beliefs as the first born Son of our creator of the universe, Wakea. To Hawaiians of tradition the Mauna is the physical manifestation of our Jesus- literally. It is our Mecca. The Hawaiian religion is not recognized as a religion by the federal or state government. Freedom of religion for just some is no freedom at all. So my most pressing question to all of you is how will you help our Jesus from commoditization and desecration, if you are willing? Kerri Marks Answer: I will represent those that hold the mountain sacred as I have in the past. I have supported the petitioners against TMT, the hunters and fishermen demanding mauka makai access, the Pele practitioners opposed to geothermal, and many other issues. I am a strong supporter of home rule and the values of aloha.
