Too many families are putting in the hard work that ought to earn them a place in the middle class, but are running up against out-of-date policies designed for last century’s economy. We need an economy that works for all of our families. The Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit are two of the best tools we have to provide economic opportunity and a ladder into the middle class for families trying to provide a better future for their kids.
