Aloha! We are continuing to monitor the progress of Hurricane Iselle currently 195 miles East/Southeast of Hilo. A Tropical Storm Warning is currently in effect for the islands of Kauai, Maui and Oahu. The island of Hawaii (Big Island) is currently under a Hurricane Warning. Weakening is forecasted during the next 48 hours and Iselle may weaken to a tropical storm tonight. Weather experts have it tracking to reach Kauai on Friday with tropical storms conditions expected. Here is a forecast of our projected weather conditions for Friday, 8/8/14: • A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for all Hawaiian Islands. • Frequent showers/thunderstorms with rain potentially heavy at times. • High near 78, very windy, with a northeast wind at 26 mph, with gusts up to 38 mph. In addition, The Hawaii Tourism Authority is requesting that our customers contact their airlines directly, prior to leaving for the airport to confirm their flights and make any changes.
