Aloha and good morning! It is shaping up to be another wonderful day today! The surf report has come out and it looks fantastic on the east and south sides of the island with a bit of a swell on the north shore. Great day to get in the water for some snorkeling especially since the water is warmer than the air temperature. Here is the surf report: North shores topping the surf heights in the 5-10 range. Expect more currents & surf at exposed locations, outer reefs & channels. Light winds. Calmer on South & East facing shores. Always use caution - esp. when unfamiliar & help is a long way away. Recommended lifeguarded beaches: Hanalei Pavilion, Kealia, Lydgate, Poipu, Salt Pond. Outlook to Sat Jan 3: more NW swell expected Tues-Thurs. Northwest winds becoming strong on Tues.
