Alon explains here to Nadav how he was named in memory of his great grandfather, David Yanovski zl, whose memory we cherish and whom we miss terribly. Sabba David was snuck out of the Warsaw Ghetto by his mothers sister using fake documents which substituted her maiden name Yanovski for his given family name, Goldman. Because this name saved his life he kept it and never went back to the name Goldman. Today Nadavs parents, Yael and Yoed explained the symbolism they found in the name Nadav. Just as the name Yanovski saved David, the N and V from Yanovski surround and protect the D from David. These are the three letters which make up the name NaDaV in Hebrew. It was a beautiful moment for all of us. Shavua tov and Mazal tov.
