Alright 227th ward, heres some exciting news---this is a long message, so bear with me: A member of the 12 Apostles has called a Special Conference for 14 YSA Stakes on Sunday, October 26th, 2014 in the Marriott Center. Our Stake was invited to attend AND was asked to provide the music including two musical numbers by a 200 member Stake Choir. We are excited for this opportunity for our stake to share our testimonies of Christ through music. President Mackay (our Stake President) has asked that 20 members from each ward participate in this Stake Choir. We are looking for 10 guys and 10 ladies from our ward who can commit to practicing and performing with members of our stake for this special conference. Practices will be held the next 4 Sundays until the conference (9/28, 10/5, 10/12, and 10/19). The first two practices will be 7-8 pm in the MSB Chapel. The following two practices exact location/time are to be determined. Stake choir members need to commit to at least three of the four practices in order to participate. The choir will practice two pieces (including This Is The Christ) in preparation for the Special Fireside with an Apostle (or two).
