Alright Black Woman, I was granted access into the sacred man - TopicsExpress

Alright Black Woman, I was granted access into the sacred man cave; i.e. the Barbershop and the consensus about us NOT good. The Brothers are feeling like Black Women are a waste of time. My sons Barber told me that to many Black Women want to run the streets, chase ballers, be in the club and the men that we say we want, are the men we dismiss. He talked about his struggle with one of his daughters, and how she wanted to be just like her mother and be in the streets. When she got caught up with a man she was seeing and called her father and her brother for help, he told her that any emergency she has, she better call 911 and definitely not her brother because he has a bright future ahead of him and she will NOT mess that up, and I totally respected that. Thats what I mean in regards to protection. We have to submit to the authority of those we seek protection from. Whether youre a wife, daughter, sister, mother, friend..Black Men arent willing to risk their lives for our foolishness especially with our treasonous behavior. We cant dictate HOW men protect us, and we have to be WORTHY of protection. We certainly cant be wild and rebellious, then turn around and ask the men we rebelled against to protect us. This also serves as a reminder of who you choose to house your legacy. If you as a man evolve, but the mother of your child or children remains uncivilized, uncouth and reckless, it becomes difficult for you to fight the hold shell have on your children. I keep telling you, the hardest thing you fight is INFLUENCE, and mothers will manipulate their children into hating and disregarding their father. I know when Men vent we often disregard it and chalk it up to them being bitter, though we want them to listen to us. We really need to listen to them and stop discounting their experiences and feelings. What they feel is valid and to be honest, they are justified for how they feel. Time is an investment. Time is a sacrifice. Time is desire. Time is commitment. If Black Men are feeling like we are a waste of time, they will invest their time where they feel like theyll get a guaranteed return on their investment. And please, dont start telling them to go on to other cultures and races because we get all up in arms when they do. And please dont start acting like its fine with us because we have all these options. We are the only got it going on but gripe about being single every day group of women I know. #TheAgitator
