Alright Green Tea, 11 things you might not know about me: 1. Since I was a teen, I knew the kind of man I would marry. He met certain criteria: 1)Had to be like my Daddy in character, 2)dark chocolate skin, 3)bald head. Hello Kenyon Bell. 2. When I was preg with my daughter, I found a picture of a pretty brown baby girl in a parenting magazine. I cut it out and hung it on the frig. For the next 3 or 4 months I talked to that baby everyday. When my daughter was born, for about a month she looked EXACTLY like that picture. 3. YEARS ago I had on my vision board I wanted to meet Oprah. Last year, I did and she gave me about 50 of her favorite things. I see a faith pattern! 4. I wanted to diversify my musical skill so at 30 yrs old I took guitar lessons. Doesnt sound like a really big deal...until we had a recital and my 30 yr old tail up on a stage with 6 yr olds. To top it off these kids are playing real songs and I tapped out something like Twinkle Twinkle. But my man was on the front row...thats my baby! He was smiling but couldve been laughing too. Jurys still out. 5. One of my most precious mentors is the guy who taught me guitar lessons. He is an Elvis appreciation artist...in full gear too. That man taught me a lot about marketing, selling, being myself, and going for it. yes youre 30! Now git up there and play!! He also let me sing a song off my CD and was proud like I did something special. Awww I forgot about him!!! I digress.... 6. The next person I want to meet: Ivanka Trump. I love her style, her swag, brilliant business mind. Would love a conversation about life with her. Yall know her? Lets arrange a meeting. 7. My daddy was my first love. Im a daddys girl to the core. God knows this and keeps his promise to me that Ill always be Daddys girl. (Wont he do it!) 8. Ive had a vivid dream of my lifes work since I was in my twenties, or somewhere round that age. Im on a stage outdoors speaking and/or singing. Thousands and thousands of people in the audience. Hands are raised and theyre crying and laughing and receiving. It looks like Im in another country because all the people are brown or tan. One day....put a marker here....:O) 9. Ive flown a plane before. A T-38. 37? Ok I didnt fly...dude jiggled the stick and told me to take control. So it was a thrilling 7 minutes. If youre a pilot or you know what kind of plane that is dont laugh. I pulled 3 amazing gs and loved it. That was enough for me. 10. My husband and I vacationed in Singapore, Bangkok and in Thailand we rode elephants in the Qwai River. Gross. 11. I released my own music CD in 2004. Its out of print now, but about 2 years ago I heard one of the songs ON THE RADIO in DC. How they got that song in rotation is beyond me, but it was kinda cool to hear.
