MID SOUTH QUAIL FOREVER PRESENTS THE NRA YOUTH HUNTER EDUCATION CHALLENGE Mid South Quail Forever, along with the Friends of the NRA and TWRA, are proud to host the West Tennessee National Rifle Association Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC). The event will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 beginning at 8:30am at Anderson Farms in Oakland, Tennessee. Our venue host, Ronnie Downs, has graciously allowed us to conduct this event again at his beautiful grounds. YHEC is an outdoor skills and safety training review for young hunters. Rifle, bow, wildlife identification, map and compass orienteering, and hands on training are included in this competitive event. NRA refers to the YHEC as the “graduate program in hunter education.” This program is designed to help children and families develop an interest in outdoor sports and hunting events. Points are awarded to participants with awards given at the conclusion of the program with lunch provided. There is no charge to participate in this event. We need volunteers, contestants, prize and drawing donations. If you are interested, please contact Joan Follmann (901) 496-7832 or email jfollmann@cruiseplanners or Mary Sue McFarland at (901)734-2745 or email msmcf10@aol.
