Alright, Im a bit (very) late on this but here is this Weeks NFL - TopicsExpress

Alright, Im a bit (very) late on this but here is this Weeks NFL Week 6 recap DST The Patriots offense appears to be finally picking up steam while its defense has been pretty solid all season, theyre my top pick this week vs the Jets. The Lions continue to be a top pick even against New Orleans. The Browns are getting the Jacksonville bump that even the Titans put on a good showing with last week. Seahawks DST started to post some more respectable fantasy points last week, that should continue against St Louis this week. Cards and Broncos are coming off solid weeks and should have good ones this week as well. Dolphins wouldnt be my first pick but if you cant get anyway already mentioned they should be decent this week and then play Jac next week. The Bills were one of my biggest disappointments this week (biggest = Eli), but New England seems to be back despite the non-believers, regardless they have the 2nd most sacks in the league and Minnesota just gave up 8 sacks to Detroit this week... Im still confident in them (plus they play the Jets next week too). Speaking of non-believers, everyone was saying the Eagles DST couldnt keep up with their pace but with 8 sacks themselves against NYG I bet a lot of managers will be hesitant to drop them during the bye... I dont blame them, if they get dropped Id strongly consider picking them up if its between them and some long shot on your bench in deeper leagues. Another team that might be considered droppable, I think, is the 49ers, theyve been fairly solid yes but they play Denver and then have a bye week. That said you should definitely try and get them fro their week 9 match up vs St Louis, but only if you can afford to hold them for however long you need to to get them for that match up. Some other highly owned teams I havent touched on: Bengals wtf is going on with their defense since the bye? Chargers their streaming run is over, they should be dropped. Panthers have been +14 avg their best 3 weeks and -6 avg their worst 3, and not even really dependent on the matchup... too much of a wild card for this guy. K Alright he wasnt the highest scoring kicker last week (was 4th) and nor is he on the season (3rd by avg) but all hail Catanzaro, more like Consistanzaro... okay ya I wont do that again, but seriously only kicker who hasnt had a week in the orange/red. Obviously Gostkowski is doing alright as well and is the top kicker this season, would be by a long shot if not for that 2pt week in week 4. Bailey continues to perform in the high powered Dallas offense. Tucker and Hauschka are coming off solid weeks and expecting another from each. Novak, Vinatieri, Sturgis and Cundiff are coming more average weeks but still decent and expecting better weeks this week. Everyone else is either in an unfavourable matchup or I dont like their consistency so far this season. Ps: Some people might be tempted to keep Parkey through the bye, I dont think its worth it, lots of decent kicker options each week. Also glad I said to watch Brown last week instead of pick him up since well the Giants shit the bed for lack of a better term. QB No surprise here but Luck is my top pick of the week, the Colts are playing Cincinnati who have been giving up quite a lot of points to QBs since their bye week (20.6 to Brady week 5 and 34.1 to Newton last week in overtime). Rodgers comes next who aside from some tough matches week 1 and 3 vs Seattle and Detroit respectively has been solid, not to mention Carolina has been pretty soft. Alright so Tennessee didnt look great this week with Whitehurst at the helm but if Locker is back this week I expect him to be a good play against Washington. Peyton, Cutler and Rivers should look like their fine selves this week, as should Kaep who had a big week as well and wholl likely be playing from behind against Denver this week. Wilson should bounce back after a huge week two weeks ago and then a fairly dismal one this week and hopefully Stafford will as well after poor showings 3 out of the last 4 weeks. If Brady was dropped in any of your leagues I recommend picking him back up for this weeks game against the Jets, the Pats reemergence appears to be for real. The only generally started QB with a considerably bad match up this week is Brees playing Detroit, their defense has been great this year and has been really shutting down offenses. Apologies if you streamed Eli last week on my recommendation, I got burned myself there pretty badly. RB Weve all come to expect big weeks from Murray but this week is definitely no exception while up against the Giants, Tate is another guy coming off a big week and hes bound to have another one vs Jacksonville this week. Forsett was solid last week though Ill admit he lost more touches to Pierce who picked up TD but ran for 30% of Forsetts yardage on the same amount of carries, odds are good theyll shred Atlanta this week (see Fortes performance last week or really another game vs Atlanta). Speaking of Forte hes on fire, 3 huge weeks, and Id expect it continue for his next 5 games (avg is still being brought down by weeks 2 and 3 which is why its lower in the chart), call me crazy but consider selling high on him during week 11 if his playoff matches continue to look bad and you can get what hes worth. Gio is coming off a big game as well, same could be said for Foster. Charles is coming off his bye to a decent match up and should have a regular big showing. Ellington had an okay week, expecting more from him this week against Oakland. Had mentioned FJax and Spiller as guys to watch last week, well only one had a good week, a bit concerned about Spiller now but FJax should have a good matchup against Minnesota who has been pretty bad against the run. Finally for decent matchups we have Lacy who came back to mediocrity last week after a big week 5, if he cant get things going against Carolina and you arent already worried Id start to get worried. Hillman looked good last week taking over for the most part for Ball, not a fan of this weeks matchup vs San Fran though, but Denver will still score which means theres a chance for TDs. Oakland looked better offensively this week but Id still avoid starting McFadden or MJD if you can against Arizona. McKinnon and Sankey are two guys Id avoid starting this week as well (or anyone else on their respective teams if starters switch again). WR Lets look at something a bit surprising first, unexpected big game from the Raiders last week, if you think they can keep that going against the Cards weak secondary then definitely take a look at James Jones and Holmes in deeper leagues. Had said the Ravens were going to have a big week against the Tampa Bay but Ill be honest I wasnt confident wed see totals that high from both of the Smiths (Torrey and Steve), glad to see Torrey have a good showing finally. Now to something less surprising, big game for Nelson and Cobb coming up as the Packers take on Carolina and the Broncos still be led by DT (though Sanders and especially Welker were a bit disappointing this week) should do well against San Francisco. Falcon receivers had a disappointing game, their second in a row now, Julio and Roddy should be able to bounce back a bit against Baltimore though. With Megatron out, it might have been expected for Tate to have a decent game but all of the Lions receivers were more or less shut down by Minnesota, if Johnson returns this week I think theyll do well against New Orleans. Yet another receiving corp coming off a bad week are the Browns, not a lot of big name players there but someone like Hawkins (who was getting decent targets up til last week) might be startable against Jacksonville if youre hurting for a WR or Flex. Outside of that not too much to comment on matchup wise, Saints have a bad matchup against Detroit but with Jimmy out Cooks and Colston are still startable in a bind as they should see increased targets. Giants just had a terrible week as well and are going up against Dallas which has been surprisingly effective vs the passing game, with Cruz out I know a lot of people are looking to ODB to fill some holes in their team but I dont like him or Randle this week. TE Gotta keep playing Julius and Gronk; Cameron looks like hes back and has a good matchup vs Jacksonville, Reed looked good back this week as well and should be started vs Tennessee. Bennett, Olsen and Gates continue to look good, Witten got his first TD and has a decent matchup. Walker couldve had a bigger week than he had, only caught 3 out of 8 of his targets, I think hell start catching more balls and bounce back. Well with Graham looking like he could be out again this week therell be more than just Ertz owners who could be looking for a different TE fill-in. Allen and Fleener are top of the chart, unfortunately they split the targets down the middle which makes it a guessing game wholl get the TD(s) on any given week. Donnell could be slated for a big game vs Dallas but I dont trust the Giants right now, though Cruz being out probably helps him a bit in terms of targets we should expect for him. Amaro had a big game with double digit targets, and could be worth a look, the Jets dont have a lot of receiver options already outside of Decker so it might continue. Harbor also had a big game, though only had 3 receptions. Chandler is another option in deep leagues whos coming off a game with 9 targets.
