Alright, gotta talk community gardens right now. Dont hate, its how I get down. I posted on the community garden facebook page and sent out an email announcing that the Todd St. garden next to the Anglican church was being closed. Due to water access, bermuda grass pressure, and sunlight, this proved to be a difficult place to garden and as such, weve never had the volunteer support to keep it going. At the same time, Ryes Garden at the end of Logan St. is large enough to accommodate everyone, and has great sunlight, water access, and a tool shed. Unfortunately I did not reach everyone. A kind, anonymous volunteer has tilled up all the plots before we had the chance to remove the last vestiges of the garden. First, thank you for helping, and secondly, Im sorry that we have to plant grass over the garden. We can reimburse whoever did this for any seeds that were planted that will be lost.
