Alright my lovelies? Hope all is going absolutely fantastically - TopicsExpress

Alright my lovelies? Hope all is going absolutely fantastically for you all. Basically, why I message is this: Do you ever find yourself freaking out at the idea of having to improvise at an audition? Do you worry needlessly at devising workshops? Do you doubt your utter fantabulousness at comedy? Well, I want to help. I dont know if you all know this, but I have a pretty fantastic background in improv and was actually awarded with a Robin Williams scholarship for improvisational comedy at my University. And basically, I want to pass that knowledge on. The more I audition the more I want to play and create, and equally, the more I audition the more I notice how terrified people are of impro. I dont mean being allowed ten minutes to make something up, I mean literally thinking something up then and there and feeling confidant that sink or swim you are still worthy of life and calling yourself an actor/comedian. Believe me, when I started it was specifically because improv TERRIFIED THE LIVING CRAP me and I wanted to test myself. What I am interested in is starting a class/workshop group where we have a safe place to play and learn. Ive been taught by several of the San Francisco greats (look at my CV dudes) and I honestly do actually know a thing or two. I want to just pass that along and be allowed to play myself without having to worry about impressing anyone or performing anytime soon (we can definitely get to that point, but I firmly believe in trust on stage, so never would fling people together without comfort) So, here is what I am offering: a class maybe once or twice a week where we play, I give helpful advice/critiques and we learn from doing. We may even get a performance or two out of it. But honestly, to start its just to get you comfortable with the idea of REAL thrown in, no prep improv…the absolute best in my opinion. Let me know if you are interested via the old private message (people hate being added along in a thread so seriously, private message guys) and I will see who is interested, when works etc. If you think you have friends who would be interested forward it along, its open to anyone, but really I just love improv, Im good at it and it makes me happy so lets play this game guys! If you really want any proof of my credentials, Ive worked with the head of BATS improv, was in a performing company for two+ years and have several credits from school. I shall forward if need be :) All the best, lovelies and hope all is going fantastically Loads of love, Ariel xxx
