Alright, so its been a couple days now since Granite State Comic Con has ended. I think Im about 85% recovered haha. So thats probably good enough to post a little about my experience. First and foremost though, Id like to thank Double Midnight Comics, Pat Covey, Brett Parker, Scott Proulx, Justin Desfosses, Elaine Atkins Manley, all of the volunteers (Red Shirts) and anyone else Im missing who helped put this all together and keep it running and making it just awesome. Friday - Pre con setup and the Karaoke Kick off! Pre-con setup seemed to go pretty well. Helped bring in Photo Op gear, helped move a table here and there. Got to watch the trainwreck caused by hotel staff when it came to trying to get the Batsy Twins Batcycle into the expo center. Saw a really kick ass Robin hoodie by Enygma Designs that I would end up trying all weekend to procure!! Stuck around doing odd jobs here and there until it was time, for karaoke. Karaoke really did indeed kick things off! Grabbed a seat with Pat, Chris Belanger, Rodney Brown, Bryan D. Covey Jr., and Lia Liporto. Lia and Pat really rocked the house with Love Shack. And Lia really kicked things up when she sang a song from the musical Chicago. Amazing you guys. Now, of course, I did get a little toasted that night, met some great people, hung out with great friends ( James Ryan Jwanowski, Jen-Jen Elise, Rachel Joy, Bethany Maddock), danced and sang with others ( Scotty M. Cloutier, Tim Basey, Jill Stewart, Brian-Nathaniel Wheeler, Miggy Jagger) End of the night came and I somehow ended up hanging out with Daniel Portman and Josef Altin of GoT. It was a great time. Just hanging out with them outside the hotel, smoking, laughing, having a good ol time. Got to hang with TJ and Laurence as well. Helped keep an eye on their fan girls and make sure things didnt get to crazy. Got home sometime after 2am I think. The convention hadnt even started yet and I had already experience such craziness. Wow this post got long fast!! And thats only friday!?!
