Alright, with the summer movie season getting off the ground Im going to count down my 10 most anticipated movies of the summer. Coming in at #10 is the supernatural horror movie “Deliver Us From Evil.” Plot: In DELIVER US FROM EVIL, New York police officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), struggling with his own personal issues, begins investigating a series of disturbing and inexplicable crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the frightening and demonic possessions that are terrorizing their city. Based upon the book, which details Sarchies bone-chilling real-life cases. I dont for one second believe the “true story” aspect of this even if it is based on a real guys book about his encounters with the supernatural. But as a movie I have to say it looks very good. The trailers have been impressive and surprisingly creepy. Its also from the guy who did “Sinister,” which, while I didnt love was at least well-made. Im there.
