Alrighty, Tuesday is here. Its Introvert Day! (Okay, everyday is Introvert Day for the Duffster) But its a day one step closer to realizing ones dreams. (doing pretty good so far) I really want to further explore the realm of magical puppets. I had a dream last night that in the world of Orcs, Adventurers, and all things magical, there were puppet creatures of all shapes and sizes. Id like to create a few puppets that look like they could inhabit the Dark Crystal world, but with a bit of humor. (all sorts of accents) Ive had a vague idea of doing this for quite some time. But now is the time to explore it further. I know that once I get into the groove, I get it done. (Just look at my alien puppet collection!) Years ago, I was a big fan of Alan Dean Fosters fantasy series called Spellsinger where a college student transported into a magical world, found his musical abilities on his guitar singing his favorite rock songs, had magical powers. It was fun reading about him singing My Sharona and Deep Purples Smoke on the Water having it do unexpected things magically. I still also have it on my agenda to make musician puppets, so Im thinking somewhere along the line, these ideas are going to collide into an unexpected collaboration. (Im sure it will be very interesting) So for today, puttering around, sorting through books, filing things in the file cabinet, thinking up a shot list to take advantage of some additional puppeteer time maybe later in the week. No shortage of things to do. Just have to get some caffeine to jumpstart and crank up some tunes in the house.
