Also excited about the Zoltan (Istvan) vs (John) Zerzan debate? I am shocked by (friend of terrorist Theodore John Unabomber Kaczynski) Zerzans ideals for the world: *Zerzan is against ART, LANGUAGE, MATH and the very CONCEPT OF TIME itself. Zerzan even says TELEPATHY should replace language. *Zerzan is against BRAVE NEW WORLD STUFF like normal technology. *Zerzan is against toolmaking. *Zerzan says Theodore John Unabomber Kaczynskis victims were not innocent, because they were involved in technology. *Zerzan does not understand the difference between causality and correlation. Things bad in our current society are not caused by technological progression: isolation / depression etc. are not caused by cars, medical care, internet... I love the outdoors, camping and hiking, but this guy Zerzan reminds me of: Pol Pot, leader of the Khmer Rouge, was achieving his dream of Year Zero, the return of Cambodia to a peasant economy in which there would be no class divisions, no money, no books, no schools, no hospitals. Scary dude. If you want to live in the woods, be my guest, but not tolerating and even attacking people who build society and tech... thats a scary thing. Go Zoltan Istvan and good luck! PS technological progression is not evil, its in our evolutionary nature. Lets do good things with it..
