Although I do not totally agree (when have I ever), this is largely true, and likely will continue to be true. The sheeple like to be controlled and abused, that is their lot in life and the 1% are happy to accommodate. Most people would not know what to do if given true freedom and responsibility for their own lives, and really do not want it. There is comfort and security in having others control your life and telling you what to do and think. Rebellion happens when the greedy push too far. However the greedy almost always profit as well from rebellions, so rebellions do not scare them as much as we would like. Wars are something the arms merchants happen to like. In fact it is rare the the 1% ever suffer from an uprising, they just tend to be inconvenienced (which for them is akin to a short stay in hell). Now if somebody could come up with a disease that specifically targeted the wealthy and privileged, then we might have something. Of course then the poor bullies would take over telling the sheeple what to do and think. And those bullies would become the new ruling class. The real problem is the sheeple.
