As small business owners, we are very proud of our high ratings no matter where they are on the internet; however a vast majority of us do not advertise with the sites who hold our ratings. We trust rating sites to treat us fairly and reward us accordingly for our excellent reputation. This ruling goes against what so many of us work hard for! Just be aware that this can happen with rating sites. Whether you are seeking a pet sitter, a plumber or a mechanic - please consider; one rating site should not be a determining factor in making a decision to hire someone. Most of us gladly offer multiple places online where prospective clients can read feedback about our businesses as well as testimonials gathered outside rating sites. Read reviews in multiple places and be sure to speak to the business owner about her/his business. That is the best way to get an accurate impression in order to make a decision. --Jennifer
