Although neither written or performed by John Barry, this track by Harry James & His Orchestra was undoubtedly the inspiration for the key scene in Body Heat where William Hurt first sees Kathleen Turner at the open-air big band concert. Barrys own arrangement, although only heard briefly in the movie, is almost identical to the Harry James version and was noticeably absent from the limited edition soundtrack album. John Barry stated on numerous occasions that Harry James was one of his favourite band leaders and I think that the inclusion of the arrangement in Body Heat was a tribute from one trumpet player to another.
