Although the Crookston City Council Monday evening stopped short - TopicsExpress

Although the Crookston City Council Monday evening stopped short of officially saying, through a vote, that they were taking Castle Park off the table as a potential site for an RV park/campground that would be used by temporary American Crystal Sugar workers in the fall and tourists during the summer, the council did acknowledge that other potential locations for the RV park are being discussed in earnest in the wake of last Thursdays packed public forum, including a site that may not have been looked at before. CHEDA Executive Director Craig Hoiseth said hes spoken to the principles involved on an unnamed property, and they are open to talking further. A Ways & Means Committee meeting has been scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 19 at city hall. Part of the meeting may be closed to the public and media if the council is negotiating to buy a specific piece of property. As the council wrapped up its discussion tonight, scattered applause could be heard among the Castle Park supporters who attended the meeting. Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your Monday.
