Always gratifying to see when an idea of mine gets passed by the legislature. I pitched the idea of making audits and auditors more transparent to Rep Tom Demmer over a year ago when we discussed reforms needed in our post-Dixon world. He and his colleague Sen Michael G. Connelly did all the work to get it passed. Nice thing about this reform is it shouldnt add any costs to local government. They have already paid for the audits and the auditors should not charge any more to speak with boards or committees because it is a standard best practice to address management with the audit results.
