Am I the only one getting rubbed the wrong way by the slow demise of the Tongan language? Aitemi, Tipeni, Petulolo, Tisikasi...these are NOT proper Tongan words people. I fear for the future generation and we might as well be like Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and PNG and have pigeon Tongan at the rate were going. Even more irritating when I see these Tonganised words on so called news websites and newspapers. Our ancestors who spoke eloquently would turn in their graves! I dont know if its typo or just pure laziness! Please stop butchering our mother tongue!
