Am not among those who had reported that NIA is not getting the support of the Bengal police. Am not among those who had devoured all what NIA cop Mr Anupam had to spill :P . Am not among those, who had done extensive coverage of Burdwan Blast. Am not among those who has sources in NIA. Am a simple journo still trying to learn the tricks of the trade. I simply waded through the investigation in my own way and tried to talk to a few people who are privy to investigation from the day one. To me, NIA is meticulous, STF and district police too are good with all their restricted resources. Even CID did some fine probe in patches. But definitely something odd in CID probe is obvious, too. Many have contested this thought of mine. And have said that CID had done an excellent job(i thought they were brilliant in patches but were full of mistakes too). So, let me EXCLUSIVELY break(a TV journo cant think more than this term :) ) a piece of information here. On 5th October, the state home secretary flanked by the DGP had made a media briefing on the Burdwan blast and had shown some bits and pieces of explosives recovered. Little did the state home secretary and the DGP knew that those were not even seized by the CID officers. They simply forgot it!!!! On 15th of October, a seizure list was made in backdate to rectify their mistakes!!! Can you beat it!!! If this forgetfullness was pointed out, the state DGP and home secretary could have easily been charged by the NIA for destruction of evidence under section 201 of Indian Penal Code.
