Says Goodbye by Jody Dickey Just try to focus on the rain Running down the window glass Another one has passed For us life goes on just the same Now I need to close my mind To what must be done I haven’t much time For soon your family will come You were such a dear Just one more loving care As I take in a deep breath I feel for those you left As much as we try It is hard to watch them die I see your peaceful face To soon there will be a empty space What can I say You have touched our hearts each day For you, there will be no tomorrow For now I will hold on to my sorrow One more thing I must do To say thank you For the time we shared Now I must place you in God’s care As I pat your hand I have done all I can This night God will be answering your light For us C.N.A.’s it is our way To say our goodbyes No we don’t ask why Because we all know Most are ready to go We all will weep For another we can’t keep One more glance at your face Another to put in my memory place Well dear one Your family has come As I listen to them sob It is hard to remember it is just a job I wipe the tears running down my cheek It is going to be another hard week © by Jody Dickey
