Amazing day today in Gesgapegiag, witnessing our youth from our community endorsing part of our cultural, which is so needed to revitalize our cultural traditions, as this starts with our grassroots, our children. A great big part of making this sucessful is the parents and community members, who take the time to pass down their knowledge and teachings to our youth so we dont lose our Migmaq ways of life. Also a very big welalin to Amanda and Craig for taking this time to dedicate themselves to our youth, the amount of time, effort and sacrifices is greatly appreciated from the parents and community members; also to our neighbouring drum groups, and we cant forgot our mc, Roger Lee, who like always, does an awesome job on the mike. As this being said I hope to see this just as successful in the future in keeping our community and our childrens knowledge, cultural, language and traditions which are all crucial to our identity as Migmaq people.
