Amazing to see Token Records at #15 in the Resident Advisor Top 20 Labels of 2014! Its been a big year for the label and Im proud to have done my little bit with the Vaudeville album alongside some fantastic releases from Ø [Phase], Ctrls, RØDHÅD, Surgeon, Spherical Coordinates, Eschaton, Makaton and not forgetting the immense Aphelion compilation! Onwards and Wrongwards! The techno Token specialises in doesnt have mass appeal. Its fast, pummelling, loopy and generally appropriate for only the most brutal sets. That it remains one of the genres go-to labels is testament to the A&R skills of its founder, Kr!z. The sound hes sculpted for his label hits hard every time, and this year heavyweights like Surgeon, Karenn and Planetary Assault Systems joined the imprints ranks. Its been going since 2007, but Token is still a label on the rise
