Amen Brother David! I also would challenge the men with this. Men, we are the leaders of our home, we are to be its priest. So are we living this uncompromising faith that John had? Are we leading as Jesus leads the Church? Are we dying to self and being a servant? Are we loving with the unconditional love as Jesus did? (how high of a mark is that for us men to reach?) are we being teachable and learning to show ourselves approved, (I know I will never know everything..)? Every day I pray for Gods guidance and strength to do His will in my house. And I do not know if I can ever reach the standard of our example in Jesus but I will never stop trying! As my son keeps telling us, (usually when he is being corrected. Lol) I will try, there are tries.. The Yoda in me thinks there is do, or do not, there is no try.. But in reality we can never reach perfection here on earth but as long as we are moving forward, as long as we are earnestly working toward Godly repentance, then we are showing the Glory and Grace of God to the world.
