Amen Jude thank you for some solid advice. Ive seen throughout the years far too many people in churches with the title of leader and they fail who they are leading along with their friends,their children and their spouses. Some are so busy trying to produce something that they neglect the principles of the very message they are trying to convey. Love,understanding,forgiveness,empowerment,relationship mentorship and leadership. After all isnt that what Jesus said was the greatest commandment. To love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul, and to love your neighbor as yourself. I see far too many so called leaders leaving failed marriages and broken children and relationships in their wake. There is a responsibility that comes along with that title that too many miss. Its a responsibility to listen, serve, care for and empower those you are leading. Especially your spouse and your immediate family. Not selfish ambition to use those around you to get the job done and toss those relationships aside.The ultimate leader was God and he was motivated by love! It all begins and ends with love and service to one another. Gods intent is to love,empower and restore and bring us along on the journey. We need people who are leaders because they have the character and skills to lead and not just the given title!
