UCSB Faculty Members Endorse Divestment: To Associated Students of UCSB, We, as faculty members at the University of California Santa Barbara, urge the AS Senate at UCSB to pass “A Resolution to Divest from Companies that profit from the Apartheid in Palestine/Israel.” We support Students For Justice in Palestine and the coalition of supporting organizations’ efforts to withdraw UCSB student fees from investing in Caterpillar, General Electric, Northrop Grumman, Hewlett Packard, and Raytheon, whose military technology is used by the Israeli Defense Forces to maintain Israel’s military occupation and siege of the Palestinian territories.
