Americas newfound obsession with soccer definitely means something. It is a sign of increased globalization,it may be the sign of a new generation growing tired of sticking its collective thumb at the world. It may just mean that Americans need a high-stakes sport to watch in the summer (because even Ill admit that baseball means very little until September). It may not even mean anything at all, but it definitely does not mean this. I post this because 1) there is something about Coulters ascerbic wit that I have always found fascinating, 2) that wit highlights some of the un-American-ness of soccer, and 3) unpopular views are sometimes the most worthwhile to explore.
