America’s Favorite Amphetamine Adderall and Ritalin are DEA Schedule II substances. This means, they have a “high potential for abuse,” can “lead to severe psychological or physical dependence” and are considered “dangerous” (less than heroin, more than Valium). Despite these warnings and strict regulation by the DEA, only 2 percent of students in a nationwide study say its use is “very dangerous.” Eighty-one percent think nonmedical use is “not dangerous at all” or only “slightly dangerous.” So its not dangerous if youre taking it illegally? I thought college kids were supposed to be smart? Maybe just not 81% involved in the study. Probably end up being politicians.
