Amialiusik finished second at Vuelta a El Salvador Belarusian rider Alena Amialiusik took second place in the GC at the Vuelta a El Salvador. Amialiusik was second in the prologue having finished 13 seconds behind Russian rider Olga Zabelinskaya. Then she won in a brilliant manner two mountain stages snatching the victory form opponents at the finish line. At the third stage Alena came split second after the winner - Brazilian Flavia Oliveira. The fourth - queen mountain - stage was dominated by American rider Mara Abbott, who finished 2:49 ahead of second Amialiusik and took the overall lead. In the final 81.3 km race around San Salvador Amialiusik was eighth 3 seconds behind Lithuanian rider Inga Cilvinaite, but ahead of her main rival Mara Abbott. However the American rider managed to secure her overall lead and triumph at the Vuelta a El Salvador. Amialiusik kept second position in the general classification and topped the mountain classification.
