Amistads Provider BIOs... Dr. Lori Anderson Medical Director Amistad’s Pediatrician Dr. Anderson graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed an internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She went on to a Pediatric Residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and is Board Certified in Pediatrics. She is a member of American Academy of Pediatrics and the Texas Pediatric Society. She grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and enjoys now living in the Coastal Bend area. Her hobbies include bicycling, reading and bird watching with her family. Micki Schmidt, FNP, Amistad’s Family Practice Provider Micki brings more than 10 years experience as a nurse practitioner to Amistad. She has previously managed a Federally Qualified Health Center and inner city clinic, and has worked in emergency room and urgent care centers in the past. Micki has in-depth knowledge and expertise in working with diabetic and hypertensive patients to manage their illnesses and treating patients who suffer from sinus and allergy related problems. She is an avid animal lover and motorcycle rider, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband in her free time. Rafael Garcia, MD Amistad’s Family Practice Provider Dr. Garcia brings more than 10 years experience as a medical provider to Amistad Community Health Center; he has many years experience as an emergency room physician. Dr. Garcia is a Corpus Christi Native and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He then completed his residency at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio and is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Kerrie McLemore, MD Amistad’s Family Practice Provider Dr. McLemore graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed her residency training at the Corpus Christi Family Practice program in Corpus Christi. Dr. McLemore volunteered at the Indigent clinic at Roca Blanca, Oaxaca, Mexico providing health care to the underserved. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and brings years of Family Practice experience to Amistad. Dr. Baggerman, MD Amistad’s Pediatric Physician Dr. Baggerman entered medicine, graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, following his careers in chemical engineering and teaching. He completed his pediatric residency here in Corpus Christi at Driscoll Childrens Hospital where he fell in love with the community and stayed to promote physical and mental wellbeing of the youth. He enjoys raising his family, community activities, and sailing. Tammy Pattillo, ACNP-BC Amistad Family Practice Provider Tammy graduated from Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas with a Master of Science in Nursing. She brings years of experience as a nurse practitioner to Amistad.
