Among the Ottoman Empire were Fatih Sultan Mehmet (The Conqueror) and Fatih Suleyman. The Blue Mosque is also known as Suleymani Mosque and its construction was ordered by Fatih Suleyman himself. He considered himself as the Second Solomon. The mosque caught fire and later the building was restored by Fatih Mehmet IV. The two places namely Hagia Sophia and Sultan Ahmet have great historical values. Abdulmecid II(in the picture) was the last Ottoman Caliph (1922- 1924). Kemal Attaturk Pacha is believed to be a crypto jew and don meh - (Someone who pretends to be following a religions discipline while on the other hand he is following something else). His reign in turkey led to the abolition of Ottoman Sultanate and Caliphate. He banned the use of scarf and turbans. Instead he encouraged french hat. All shariah preachers who persisted to preach islaam were sent in exile. Among attaturks secular ideas were: Traditional Islamic forms of headdress such as turbans and the fez were outlawed in favor of Western-style hats. The hijaab for women was ridiculed as a “ridiculous object” and banned in public buildings. The calendar was officially changed, from the traditional Islamic calendar, based on the hijrah – Prophet Muhammad ﷺ’s flight to Madinah – to the Gregorian calendar, based on the birth of Jesus Christ. In 1932, the adhan – the Muslim call to prayer – was outlawed in Arabic. Instead, it was rewritten using Turkish words and forced upon the country’s thousands of mosques. Friday was no longer considered part of the weekend. Instead, Turkey was forced to follow European norms of Saturday and Sunday being days off from work. To prevent people from digging the past, he created Turkish Language by switching arabic characters to (latin and/or greek) ones. He was named Attaturk (Father of Turk) and was backed by the Military during his Reign. Any body who tried to preach islaam was killed by military. Right now in Turkey, though Kemal Attaturk is dead,he has a very good standing. References: Hiro, Dilip.
