Among the first teachings of Jediism are the three tenents. - TopicsExpress

Among the first teachings of Jediism are the three tenents. Focus Knowledge Wisdom. I have added two more which I believe are crucial to the other three and create a more cohesive and useful combination which unlocks all of lifes mysteries. When used correctly, these tenents allow us to better ourselves and overcome any obstacle. The help us improve the world around us and fulfill our purpose as Jedi. Wisdom is the sound application of accrued knowledge and experience through patient, good judgement. Knowledge can be acquired by focusing on the task at hand. Focus is the art of pruning the irrevelant and the pouring of the best of your mind into what you are doing. Meditation, one of the two other tenents I have added is the mental exercise of clearing the mind and preparing it to receive wisdom. Moderation, the second tenet I have added is the key to all things. A good balance must be achieved in life as well as within the force. All of the five tenents are connected to eachother as none of them can exist without the other. I believe the tenent of moderation is likely the chief tenet as an excess of anything, even good things lead to the dark side. Too much food leads a man to sloth, too much happiness leads a man to forget hardship and thereby weakens his spirit. Similarly too much hardship leads a man to forget about the joys of life and so on. To know one aspect of life, one must also understand its opposite. As Jedi we embrace these tenents in hopes of strengthening the force. We act as ambassadors of it, we thrive in it and encourage its knowledge in others. As guardians of the force it is our duty, nay our privlege to take upon these tenents and dilligently work on them so that we may know both sides and adequately defeat both of them within us and the world. Meditate on this concept and awaken to higher understanding. I write this brief lecture after reading many posts about politics and other calamities that Jedi are concerned with. Be not concerned Jedi! These things will happen, be not affraid nor troubled. Such is the way of the force.
