Is it just me, or does anyone else have problems with the LATCH strap on their safety 1st guide 65? I cant get the darn thing to get tight! It has tons of slack right next to the buckle, but its extremely difficult to get it to tighten up the last bit of slack. It will tighten the first bit, but the latch inch or so of slack is so hard. Im pushing down on the seat and pulling the strap, but it just doesnt move any belt through the buckle. After fiddling with it for over 30 minutes I finally got it tight enough to not move more than an inch side to side but I still didnt feel comfortable with it. Ive never had difficulty getting seats tight with latch in my car, but this one is horrible! I eventually gave up and did a seatbelt install since it was faster and I could get it tighter that way. I have no problem with seatbelt installs, but latch is usually more convenient and if I could get it to work, that would be awesome. Any tips? Also, Im decently new at seatbelt installs. From pictures alone, anything alarming going on? Installed rear facing in a 2009 mazda cx 7 with a rolled towel.
