Amos 3:14 “On the very day I punish Israel for its sins, I will destroy the pagan altars at Bethel. The horns of the altar will be cut off and fall to the ground." (tvo) At one point Bethel was a place people gathered to worship God. Now Israel is being punished because they are worshiping pagan gods in Bethel, and other places. The holy is now unholy. The sacred place that was once a reminder of the passion Israel had for God is now a place that reveals how far they have fallen. The same could be true for your life. The areas of life that were once full of passion for God are now fully of apathy toward Him. This place could be your family, your finances, or even the way you work. Ask God to reveal any places of your life that have fallen away from Him, then go about the work of restoring God to His proper postion, that is Lord, in your life.
