Amusing the Muse A poem composed by the following Prosperity Poets; Rocky, Grokkessa, Loralilah, Vadere, gnosticman, auntiematter, Starananda, LLara34, muspelspark, MrSierra, Agenbite. The poets take a lighthearted look at the connection between the individual artist (or even a collective of individuals) and the muse as a transpersonal source of inspiration. Theres nothing worse than a bored Muse, On a gentle wild ride in the amusement part of the heart, You play with me, teasing me into setting down words, and then you laugh, gathering the symbols around us we translate to a different reality, I said its not funny, but she just laughed, Gaze into the funhouse mirror, catch a glimpse, of a thousand dreaming, The squishy wet sand glues my Being to Mother of the earth. I am grounded, You impish child of delight......to all who hear your silver laughter.....surrounding my head with your light of song that penetrates my being! Love and Well-wishing to You, the Muse, Dancing thoughts become imagination whistling many happy songs stumbled upon your heartbeat so then I went along, Smiles break out when music penetrates like daylight the microcosm forest. Mirror of Venus, 1875, Edward Burne-Jones, oil on canvas.
