Amy asked what my favorite memory of Nana is... I wanted to let the first thing that came to my mind be the answer... but there are so many... Its picking blackberries with Papa from the garden, and Nana making blackberry cobbler. Its Nana making Black Cows (Coke ice cream floats) for me and watching cartoons (Woody Wood Pecker stands out) on the old TV in the basement, its playing War with Nana even though she didnt care for card games, its there always being cookies in the cookie jar and always noodles and warm food and love whenever you visited. There are so many things to be thankful for that it is hard to be sad, but rather I think it is a time to celebrate Nana and her 90 years, her 69 years with Papa, her 6 children, her 16 grandchildren, and her 15 great-grandchildren. What more can you ask of life?
