Govt exploring comprehensive employment drive in the State: Rather Says JK on threshold of big socio-economic revolution BUDGAM, JULY 05: The Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Mr. Ab Rahim Rather today said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah and his entire administration is working overtime to explore a comprehensive solution to the un-employment problem in the State so that maximum number of youth are provided jobs in both public and private sectors. He said there are about 6.50 lakhs unemployed youth registered with various Employment and Counselling centres of the State. Addressing a public gathering at Badipora in Tehsil Chadoora today, Mr. Rather said that the government in fully abreast with the pain and agony of un-employed youth and “we want to remove gloom and despair from their faces. He said all the available employment opportunities are being pooled to launch a comprehensive employment drive in the State. He said employment drive under the proposed plan shall be on fast track basis. The Minister said that after a long phase of turmoil, the J&K state has reached now on the threshold of big socio-economic revolution, adding that “nobody will be allowed to derail the process of massive development and progress set into motion by the present coalition government”. “After a long dark tunnel of turmoil and mayhem, the people of the State have now seen the ray of development and progress and are yearning for peace and prosperity”, Mr. Rather said adding that politics should not be done at the cost of this development. Mr. Rather reiterated government’s resolve to provide all the basic facilities to the people adding that no stone shall be left unturned in this regard. He said people of the state have pinned high hopes with the present government adding that all the possible resources are being pooled to come upto their expectations. Mr Rather also reiterated government’s commitment to provide equal opportunities of development and justice to the people of all the three regions of the State with special focus on remote and backward areas. Responding to some of the demands of locals, the Minister announced to construct a multi- purpose community hall at Badipora. The Minister also visited the shrine of Hazrat Syed Feroz-ud-Din to pay obeisance and prayed for peace and prosperity of the State and its people. The locals demanded beautification and renovation of the shrine under pilgrims tourism project. He also assured the people that the under construction recreation park at Badipora will be completed on fast track basis.
