Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a deadly motor neurone disease characterised by muscle spasticity, rapidly progressive weakness due to muscle atrophy, and difficulty in speaking, swallowing, and breathing . The #ALSIceBucketChallenge, entertaining as it is, has helped raise millions and Im glad to be part of it.
