An Airbus 380’s wing snipping a commuter jet tail. Then, this morning’s news another incident of two aircrafts scuffed each other while taxiing. Then, even more severe, with Captain ignoring control tower directions to be on which runway, moving a passenger filled aircraft in and out taxiing paths as he wishes. From all of the above. With passenger safety and the overall operational systems of our international airports in mind. Personally think, it’s a concern as we are working to revive the economy. Aircraft and vessel ports are crucial to rebuild America. Considering many of our international airports are built in the 60-70’s, how much of upgrading works were done since then, other than terminal interiors? In terms of control tower technology, ground crew operations and equipment, airport vicinity security control - are we lagging behind from other parts of the world? ------------------------------------------------ References: YouTube: “Video of giant Airbus A380 clipping CRJ700 jet at JFK Airport”.
