An Australian fracking company has applied to KCC to drill test-bores on a site near West Court Farm. They want to pump large volumes of water underground to release methane gas from coal seams. Fracking means pollution, noise, threat to water quality and supply, heavy vehicles and risk of damage to property though underground fires and subsidence. We must stop this! The application goes before Shepherdswell Parish Council on Wednesday 18 September. Attend the meeting to ask the Parish Council to oppose the application. It starts at 19.30.
