An Editor of a local daily Sushil Choudhury has been sentenced to Life term imprisonment ( till death) by a court here for his involvement in sensational triple murder case. The gruesome murders ( garroting and stabbing) of three newspaper employees were committed in his newspaper Ganadoot office ( attched is also his residence) on May 19, 2013 noon.. He was found guilty by Addl Dist and Session of West Tripura Judge Kripankur Chakrabarty on Monday. Choudhury, 72 , is reported to have got a unique distinction of being an editor who traveled with most of Indian Presidents and Prime Ministers to foreign countries.
